Here’s a video showing how to build a basic G scale model train layout.
The entire process from start to finish is shown. You’ll see how to lay individual pieces of train track, connecting the electric power supply and control system and even a simple way to get all the wheels of a locomotive lined up with the track.
Running on the finished layout are a BNSF diesel locomotive and a White Pass & Yukon Route steam train. The BNSF model train is made by MTH Trains and the WP&YR train is made by Piko.
These are G-scale model trains which are significantly larger and more expensive than other electric model trains you may be familiar with. The most famous manufacturer of G-scale model train is LGB and in this video LGB track is used.
